Bayh Statement on Congressman Young's Failure of Leadership on Donald Trump

Evan Bayh released the following statement after Congressman Todd Young confirmed to RTV6 Indianapolis and Indianapolis Business Journal that he is STILL supporting Donald Trump, even though fellow Republicans like Senators John McCain, Kelly Ayotte, John Thune, Mike Crapo and many more have all rescinded their endorsements since Trump's grotesque comments on sexual assault were revealed Friday night.

"My friend John McCain, and many other Republican Members of Congress, have had the courage to stand up to Donald Trump and rescind their support after Trump's dangerous and indefensible comments. Now is the time for leadership, not equivocation. Hoosiers should be asking themselves what type of "serious consideration' does Congressman Young need after Donald Trump bragged about committing sexual assault and what does this say about Congressman Young's Hoosier values."
